Troops neutralize three bandits, recover arms, ammunition in Zamfara

Three bandits were neutralised by Operation Hadarin Daji troops, according to the Nigerian Army, who also recovered weapons and ammunition.

Major General Musa Danmadami, Director, Defence Media Operations, Defence Headquarters, said in a statement on Sunday that troops ambushed the bandits’ crossing point at Anka, a point leading to Dan Kampani in Zamfara State’s Anka Local Government Area, and neutralized three bandits.

It said some exhibits recovered include; one PKT gun with 48 rounds of 7.62mm x 54 ammunition, 3 AK-47 rifles, 3 magazines with 63 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, and three motorcycles.

It said the military authority commended the troops, just as it encouraged the general public to avail troops of credible and timely information on terrorists and all criminal activities within their area.
