Governor Mai Mala Buni has authorised the termination of the 17 Local Government Caretaker Management Committees in Yobe State after their six-month terms have expired.
The State Government’s Secretary, Baba Malam Wali, issued a statement on Thursday that contained the dissolution and stated that it would take effect on May 11, 2023.
Wali in the statement directed the outgoing Chairman, Caretaker Management Committees to hand over the affairs of their respective local government councils to Directors of Personnel Management (DPMs).
According to the statement, Gov Buni expressed his appreciation to the outgoing Caretaker Management Committees for their support, commitment and the various successes they recorded during their tenure.
