Hajj: First Batch Of Pilgrims Arrives In Saudi Arabia

At precisely 10:36 Saudi time, or 8:36 in Nigeria on Tuesday, 429 pilgrims from Ogun State arrived at Prince Muhammad Bin Abdul-Azeez International Airport in Medina, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

On Monday at 10:45 p.m., the Flynas A330 airline picked up the pilgrims at Muritala International Airport in Ikeja, Lagos.

Gafar Alabi, the Muslim Pilgrim Welfare Board’s press officer, revealed this in a statement.

Reacting through a telephone interview, the Executive Secretary of the board, Alhaji Salau Dauda, expressed happiness about their arrival

He said the second batch was already being airlifted as of press time.

He emphasised that the last batch would be airlifted on Thursday at 10:45pm, recalling that 1,234 and three officials would participate in the Hajj exercise.
