Kayode Fayemi, a former governor of Ekiti State, is now being questioned at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s zonal command office in Ilorin, Kwara State.
Reliable sources with knowledge of the issue said that Fayemi came at the EFCC premises on Thursday at around 9:40 am.Fayemi arrived at our Kwara command office this morning about 9:40.
According to a source, our agents are currently questioning him on the suspected theft of N4 billion.
“I’m not sure whether he’d be released today or detained. However, he’s not the only former governor that’s currently being probed by the commission,” another source noted.
