The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has debunked a report that it has devalued the naira to N631 per dollar at the Importers and Exporters’ (I&E) window.
WITHIN NIGERIA sighted this was disclosed in a terse tweet on the Central Bank Of Nigeria official Twitter handle.
The tweet reads: “CBN did not devalue the Naira!”
Recall that on Thrusday morning reports surfaced on social that the alleged devaluation came 48 hours after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu announced the plans of the Federal Government to unify the country’s exchange rate to stimulate the economy.
