The Department of State Services (DSS) has invited Abdulrasheed Bawa, the suspended Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Bawa arrived a few hours ago.
The invitation relates to some investigative activities concerning him.
This was contained in a statement signed by Public Relations Officer, Peter Afunanya on Wednesday night.
WITHIN NIGERIA reported that Tinubu on Wednesday suspended the EFCC boss, Mr. AbdulRasheed Bawa, indefinitely.
The decision was made in order to conduct a thorough investigation into allegations of misconduct during his tenure.
It was revealed that weighty accusations of abuse of power have been brought against Mr. Bawa.
In compliance with the suspension, Bawa has been instructed to promptly hand over the responsibilities of his position to the Director of Operations within the Commission.
The Director will temporarily oversee the functions of the Chairman’s office until the investigation is concluded.
