The Presidential Election Petitions Court (PEPC) has accepted three sets of reports on the electoral forms used in the last presidential election prepared by a group of statisticians.

After being tendered as an exhibit, the court admitted the documents as evidence against President Bola Tinubu.

The reports were presented to the court by renowned statistician Samuel Oduntan in support of a petition filed by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, who challenged Tinubu as the winner of the February 25 presidential election.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Tinubu, and the All Progressives Congress (APC) all objected to the witness’s testimony, but the tribunal’s presiding justice, Justice Haruna Tsammani, allowed the three reports to be admitted as exhibits.

In addition to opposing the admission of the documents, the three respondents objected to the reports being read aloud in open court.

Meanwhile, Justice Tsammani has scheduled a hearing on the petition for today, specifically the cross-examination of the witness.
