Bayo Onanuga, the Director, Media and Publicity of the defunct Tinubu-Shettima Campaign Organisation, has stated that President Bola Tinubu’s appointment of new Service Chiefs was not based on nepotism.

He clarified this on Monday via his official Twitter account.

On Monday, Tinubu fired all service chiefs and appointed their replacements.

In response to allegations of nepotism, Onanuga stated that the Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla, is from the South East – Enugu, and the Chief of Defence Intelligence, Maj. Gen. EPA Undiandeye, is from the South South – Obudu, Cross River State.

For those accusing the Tinubu government of nepotism, the Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, is from Igbo Eze North LGA of Enugu State. The Chief of Intelligence is from Cross River.
