The Coalition for Equity and Good Governance (CEGG) has urged the country’s newly appointed service chiefs to collaborate and prioritize combating banditry and other forms of insecurity.

Malam Abubakar Ibrahim, the group’s National Coordinator, stated at a news conference on Tuesday in Abuja that the prompt appointment of the service chiefs was a clear indication of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to addressing the country’s security challenges.

Ibrahim stated that the development marked a significant departure from previous administrations in which sensitive positions were left vacant following the departure of their predecessors.

While praising the president for ensuring equity and competence in the appointment of the new service chiefs, Ibrahim urged the appointees to work together to rid Nigeria of the threat of banditry and insurgency.
