Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has ordered that all 19 of his commissioner-nominees declare their assets before being vetted by the House of Assembly.

Gov Yusuf said in a statement yesterday that the directive was to comply with the Code of Conduct Bureau’s directive, and that any nominees who did not declare their assets would not be sworn in.

He said;

All other political appointees under this administration shall also comply with the directive accordingly.

He reaffirmed his commitment to the people of the state, noting that transparency and accountability remained fundamental principles of his administration, which he said would be used to champion good governance, as promised in his blueprint during the election campaign.
