In the last five months, the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Ogun State has arrested 181 suspected drug dealers and recovered three pistols.

The agency also hinted that it had obtained 33 convictions during the time period under consideration.

The state Commander, Ibiba Odili, disclosed this in Abeokuta, at an event in commemoration of the 2023 United Nations International Day against Drug Abuse and illicit drug Trafficking with the theme: ‘People first: Stop Stigma, and Discrimination, Strengthen Prevention’.

She claimed that the NDLEA had brought the fight to the doorsteps of drug traffickers with its operation, which resulted in the arrest of some suspects, the recovery of weapons, and the seizure of hard drugs.
