The Kwara government has ordered the partial opening of the newly developed Flower Garden to allow residents of the state to enjoy beautiful moments during Eid-el-Kabir.
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq issued the directive regarding the facility in Ilorin’s Government Residential Area (GRA).
Mrs. Elizabeth Samuel, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Environment, stated in a statement that the directive was issued to allow families and friends to enjoy the festive season at the serene garden.
The lovely garden has been redesigned to accommodate family and friend getaways, leisure visits, meditation, reading, and relaxation.
The redesigning has been done to restore the beauty of the area, its alluring nature, trees and flowers carefully preserved to bring back the beautiful memory of the capital city of Ilorin, she stated.
Samuel said officials would be around to ensure visitors have fun throughout and also guard against damage to the areas which are still being developed for the public’s maximum pleasure.
