The Jigawa State Government has declared Friday, June 30, 2023, a work-free day.

This was contained in a statement signed by Alhaji Hussaini Ali Kila, the Head of the Civil Service.

Recall that the Federal Government has declared Wednesday and Thursday work-free days in the country for Eid el-Kabir celebrations.

According to the statement, “The Jigawa State Government has declared Friday, June 30th, 2023, a work-free day in commemoration of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration and heartily felicitates with the Muslim Ummah in the State and the Country at large.”

Alhaji Kila, however, enjoined the Muslim Ummah in the state “to make sacrifices for the growth and development of our dear State.”
