Taraba Governor Appoints 7 Female Commissioners (See List)

• Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas has appointed 7 female commissioners and 14 male commissioners
• The Taraba State House of Assembly had previously confirmed the commissioners
• Governor Kefas explained that the selection was made in the spirit of inclusivity, fairness, and balance

Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas has appointed seven female commissioners and 14 male commissioners.

The Taraba State House of Assembly had previously confirmed the commissioners.

The State Chief Judge, Justice Joel Filibus Agya, administered the oath of office at the Jolly Nyameh Stadium Gym Hall in Jalingo.

The Governor explained that the selection was made in the spirit of inclusivity, fairness, and balance and that his administration recognised the importance of allowing youths to grow, as evidenced by the cabinet’s dominance of youths.

The youths have demonstrated capacity with innovative ideas to leadership and we need to give them opportunities to grow and contribute their quota to the development of the society. We have equally involved women in our quest to ensure gender inclusivity.

I know you will face challenges, but your experiences in the past will help you to overcome them all. So, work in synergy with your colleagues and other members of the State Executive Council, he said.

Prof Nicholas Oliver Namessan – Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security
