  • President Tinubu’s supporters have urged him to prioritize providing relief to Nigerians, combating insecurity, and revitalizing the economy
  • They have also urged the EU to focus on activities that benefit developing countries rather than their wealth and to not interfere in Nigeria’s democracy
  • They have welcomed President Tinubu’s initiatives to mitigate the impact of the removal of fuel subsidies and have called for them to be strictly monitored to avoid abuse by unscrupulous government officials

Supporters of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu united under the banners of the Confederation of APC Support Groups and the Tinubu Shettima Support Network (TSN), have urged the president to prioritise providing relief to Nigerians, combating insecurity and revitalising the economy.

Engr Kailani Muhammad, Director-General of the Confederation of APC Support Groups and National Chairman of TSN, made the call during a State of the Nation briefing in Abuja on Wednesday.

He stated that Nigerians have given Tinubu their mandate, which no one can take away, and that the European Union (EU) should focus on activities that benefit developing countries rather than their wealth and that they should not interfere in Nigeria’s democracy.

Concerning palliatives, Kailani stated that the president’s initiatives to mitigate the impact of the removal of fuel subsidies are most welcome but that they must be strictly monitored to avoid abuse by unscrupulous government officials.

Setting up a committee to run a market survey to determine forces that hike up the prices of commodities, goods and services and provide a genuine template for prices is a step in the right direction.

Nigerians are groaning under severe hardship and we hope this synergy will bring succor to our teeming masses, Kailani said.

Concerning insecurity, Kailani stated that security within the West African sub-region is critical to the development and well-being of citizens and the state, adding that President Tinubu should vigorously pursue all avenues for cooperation with regional leaders that can strengthen the region’s security architecture.

He said;

This will go a long way to counter terrorism, small arms, and weapons proliferation among member states, while also strengthening trade and commerce that will impact positively on our GDP.
