  • Keyamo implored Nigerians to endure the pains of the steps President Bola Tinubu is taking to reposition Nigeria.
  • He added that the suffering and hardship they are experiencing will soon be a thing of the past as succour is on the way

Festus Keyamo, immediate past Minister of State for Labour and Employment, has beseeched Nigerians to persevere and show resilience in the face of biting economic hardship.

Keyamo implored Nigerians to endure the pains of the steps President Bola Tinubu is taking to reposition Nigeria, adding that the suffering would soon be a thing of the past.

He said Tinubu was repositioning Nigeria into a better, healthy, and vibrant economy.

Tweeting, Keyamo wrote: “If a patient has a malignant tumour, the patient has to endure the pains of surgery or some chemotherapy before the patient can be hale and hearty again.

“What is required are pain relievers as these treatments are being administered.

“That is the situation we find ourselves today in Nigeria.

“We must endure the pains of the steps @officialABAT has taken to reposition our economy to a healthy and vibrant one.

“The entire world has acknowledged this. The pain relievers are exactly what the National Economic Council has recommended for implementation.”

In the same vein, The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has asserted that the suffering and economic hardship that Nigerians are going through are aimed at testing their fate and patriotism.

MURIC executive director Ishaq Akintola made the assertion in a statement on Friday.

MURIC stated that Nigerians’ best option now was to persevere and endure the hardships wrought by the previous regime of ex-President Muhammadu Buhari and worsened by the policy of the incumbent, Bola Tinubu.

The Muslim Rights Concern, a dye-in-the-wool supporter of Mr Tinubu, said it would be irrational for the impoverished and hapless masses to flock the street in protest of Tinubu’s policy.
