  • President Tinubu charges police cadets to prioritize security, justice, accountability, and equity in their duties
  • Commandant Abubakar urges cadets to uphold professionalism and be good ambassadors for the academy and the police force

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has charged the graduating cadets of the 5th Regular Course of the Nigerian Police Academy, Wudil, with not betraying their sacred trust to provide adequate security in the country.

During the passing out parade of the 169 cadets of the 5th Regular Course at the Nigerian Police Academy, POLAC, Wudil in Kano State, the president made the call.

Tinubu, who the vice president represented, Kashim Shettima, urged the cadets to carry out their responsibilities diligently and professionally, emphasising the importance of justice over compromise, accountability over corruption, and equity over self-interest.

He urged the cadets to remain vigilant, united, and tuned in to the ideas that make the police an example of honour and integrity while carrying out their duties.

He stated that the current administration is committed to implementing effective security measures in Nigeria.

Earlier in his welcome address, AIG Sadiq Abubakar, commandant of the academy, urged the cadets to be good ambassadors of the academy and the Nigeria Police Force while charging them with professionalism.
