  • 4th Tribe Global Movement raises concern over excluding ex-Gov Masari from Tinubu’s cabinet despite his support and contributions
  • Group highlights Masari’s role in securing Tinubu’s candidacy, praises his influence in APC stronghold Katsina State

The 4th Tribe Global Movement has expressed concern about excluding Aminu Masari, the immediate past governor of Katsina State, from President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet.

In a statement signed by its convener and leader, Abayomi Mighty, the group claimed Masari was one of the northern governors who spearheaded Tinubu’s selection as presidential candidate.

It is on record that Masari was one of the few governors in the North who initiated and supported the rotation of the presidency to the South and the emergence of Tinubu in particular.

He also led the way by talking to his northern colleagues to support Asiwaju’s candidacy. He effectively weakened the opposition in Katsina State by his good governance, Mighty said.

While describing Masari as a “unrepentant Tinubu supporter” who used his political acumen and influence to turn Katsina into a stronghold for the All Progressives Congress (APC), he emphasized that Masari deserved first refusal in the ongoing horse-trading for political appointments because of his contributions to Tinubu’s election victory.

Don’t Renew Tompolo’s Pipeline Surveillance Contract – Arewa Youths Tell Tinubu

The Northern Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has urged President Bola Tinubu’s administration not to renew the pipeline surveillance contract awarded to ex-militant leader Chief Ekpemupolo Government, also known as Tompolo.

The advice was given in a statement signed by the group’s Secretary General, Mustapha Hassan, on Sunday in Kaduna.

According to Hassan, Nigeria is on the verge of a crisis, and everything that can be done to prevent increased tensions in the country should be done.

He went on to say that the multibillion-naira contract awarded to Tompolo by President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration has been mired in controversy, failing to address the crisis it was supposed to address.
