Governor Ummar Radda has expressed his administration’s readiness to end banditry within the shortest possible time despite the renewed attacks in some parts of the state.

He said the government would no longer negotiate with the criminals.

He said as part of his government’s eagerness to confront the menace headlong, he recruited 1,500 community watch corps, and purchased 700 motorcycles, armour carrier vehicles and several Hilux vehicles worth over N7 billion to end the challenge.

Briefing journalists yesterday to mark 100 days in office of his government, the governor affirmed his commitment to prioritise insecurity to ensure normalcy return to the troubled frontline local government to boost social and economic development in the state.

Radda used the resort to explain his administration’s challenges, achievements and intended prospects to better the lives of the people despite the economic hardships being faced, saying he has done a lot to reposition the state.

He stated that his government since inception set up about 20 committees to work in various areas in the reformation and strategizing of the government departments, ministries and agencies including implementations of the strategic blueprint of the campaign promises he made for the people.

The governor then urged residents of the state to bear with his government and be prayerful, as he pledged not to relent in unfolding better plans and programmes for the good and progress of the state, assuring to deliver the mandate given to him.
