  • FCDO representative Abubakar Tijjani reiterated their commitment to advancing the state’s 12-point agenda and pledged continued partnership with the Jigawa State Government
  • The event, in partnership with the FCDO-funded PERL-ARC program, aimed to accelerate socio-economic development for a Greater Jigawa

Jigawa State Governor Malam Umar Namadi says he will monitor the actions of the recently appointed commissioners, leaders of governmental organisations, and parastatals.

This was said by the governor during his opening remarks at a two-day retreat held in Kaduna on Monday for members of the Jigawa State Executive Council and other key government officials.

He stated that in order to uphold its promise to improving the economic standing of its inhabitants, his administration would hold top officials accountable for the actions of their individual ministries, departments, and agencies.

According to him, “We are going to track the activities of the heads of the MDAs by defining specific milestones and performance indicators, emphasising the importance of real-time performance assessment, with support from partners like PERL-ARC.”

The event was organised in collaboration with the FCDO-funded PERL-ARC programme, with the theme “Accelerating Socio-economic Development for a Greater Jigawa.”
