  • The President made the pledge on Sunday during his nationwide broadcast to mark the Independence Day anniversary.
  • He noted that the salary increase will last for a period of six months.

Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced that the N25,000 provisional wage increment for the average low-grade worker would now cover all workers.

Gbajabiamila made the announcement at the ongoing meeting with the representatives of the federal government at the presidential villa, Abuja.

Earlier during his independence speech, Tinubu announced a provisional wage increment for the average low-grade worker to cushion the effect of the removal of the petrol subsidy.

The organised labour at the ongoing meeting rejected the N25,000 provisional wage increment for the average low-grade worker.
