  • The three-man panel, led by Justice Ezekiel Ajayi, said, “the petition lacks merit and is hereby dismissed”.
  • According to him, the petitioner failed to prove his case beyond reasonable doubt for alleged over voting, disruption of votes, among others.

The Nasarawa State Governorship Election Tribunal has struck out the petition filed by the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) governorship candidate in the 2023 general election, Abdullahi Maidoya.

Recall that Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Abdullahi Sule of the All Progressives Congress as the winner of the March 18, 2023 governorship election in the state.

Dissatisfied with the outcome, Maidoya approached the tribunal to table his grievances about the election.

The three-man panel, led by Justice Ezekiel Ajayi, said, “the petition lacks merit and is hereby dismissed”.
