  • The APC National Chairman, Dr. Ganduje, vows to protect the party’s mandate, asserting victory in Nasarawa’s 2023 gubernatorial election
  • Distinguished leaders in Nasarawa State endorse the leadership qualities of Aliyu Bello, emphasizing the importance of unity within the APC

The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has made a solemn commitment to protect the party’s mandate in Nasarawa State, asserting that the APC emerged victorious in the 2023 gubernatorial election. He conveyed this determination during a reception in honour of the Nasarawa State Chairman of the APC, Aliyu Bello, at the City Hall in Lafia.

Ganduje, represented at the event by Alhaji Muazu Rijau, National Vice Chairman (North Central), stated, “We have won the election, and we shall protect our mandate. There is no doubt about it. Nasarawa State belongs to APC, and APC belongs to Nasarawa State. We are in charge, and we will continue to be in charge by the grace of God.”

The reception witnessed the presence of several distinguished individuals, including Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, and his immediate predecessor, Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, among others, who lauded the leadership qualities of Aliyu Bello.

Governor Sule pointed out that Nasarawa State began experiencing significant development in 2011 when the defunct Congress Progressives Change (CPC), which merged with other parties to form the APC, arrived. He underscored the close association between Aliyu Bello and the APC, stating, “In reality, APC is Aliyu Bello, and Aliyu Bello is APC.”

Senator Al-Makura endorsed Aliyu Bello’s qualities and background, affirming that Nasarawa State couldn’t have a more suitable APC chairman. In his address, he called upon party members to cooperate and support Bello, urging people to refrain from rumour-mongering and actions that might create disunity within the party.

The commitment to protect the mandate and the endorsements of Aliyu Bello reflect the dedication of APC leaders in Nasarawa to maintain a strong presence and unity within the party.
