The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State is demanding the unconditional release of its members who were arrested in connection with the killing of a female party member, Khadijat.

Kingsley Fanwo, the spokesman of the APC governorship campaign council, expressed concerns during a briefing in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State. He particularly voiced concerns about the security situation in Dekina LGA of Kogi East.

Fanwo stated, “Our chieftains arrested there were not involved in any activities that would jeopardize the peace of the state and should not have been subjected to such treatment.”

Regarding the killing of Khadijat, Fanwo, who also serves as the state commissioner for information, expressed sadness that the security agencies had not provided updates on their progress in apprehending the individuals responsible for the murder.
