  • Motorists and commuters have been trapped for hours after two LAWMA personnel were killed in a fatal accident along the Gbagada- Oshodi Expressway
  • According to eyewitnesses, the victims were hit by a driver who lost control and swerved to escape an early morning raid by LASTMA officials

Following the deaths of two LAWMA officials in a deadly accident along the Gbagada-Oshodi Motorway in Lagos State, drivers and commuters have been stuck for hours.

Witnesses claim that a motorist lost control and swerved to avoid an early-morning raid by LASTMA authorities, striking the victims.

According to reports, the traffic jam got worse as onlookers obstructed both lanes of the motorway, resulting in a complete halt to all vehicle traffic.

The surge of cars using the lanes to get inside the motorway to reach their destinations caused traffic to back up, trapping a lot of drivers.
