  • Olusegun Obasanjo urges Nigerian youths to seize the opportunity for governance, advising them to be positively disruptive and ambitious
  • Obasanjo suggests Nigeria could see a turnaround in two years with proper governance, emphasizing gratitude to those who fought for independence

Former president Olusegun Obasanjo has called on Nigerian youths to seize the opportunity to take over governance, asserting that if they don’t do so now, they might never have the chance again.

Speaking at the Emerging Political Leaders Fellowship programme organized by the Bridge Foundation in Abuja, Obasanjo encouraged the youth to be positively disruptive in their pursuit of political power.

“You are the leaders of today; if you don’t take it now, you will never get it. You have to be positively disruptive, don’t accept things the way they are. You need to make those who need to be made uncomfortable,” he emphasized.

Obasanjo, while advising the youth not to lose focus on their political ambitions, suggested that Nigeria could experience a turnaround in two years if governance is on the right course.

FAAN Bans Ghana-Must-Go bags at Nigerian airports

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has banned the use of ‘Ghana Must Go’ sacks by passengers at all airports in the country.

According to a circular by FAAN, titled, ‘Re: Prohibition of Usage Of Ghana Must Go’, signed by Manager, Airport Services, Henok Gizachew, the ban is particularly for passengers travelling through the country’s international airports.

Gizachew stated that the sack was banned by the authority as it has cost the airlines huge loss and also damaged the airports conveyor belt system.

He noted that passengers who wish to use ‘Ghana Must Go’ to travel must have the same well packaged in cartons or hardcovers of rectangular size.
