There was palpable tension and trepidation on Thursday when rampaging hoodlums attacked Sunshine Stars team bus.

The team manager and some of the players were also seriously injured.

Sunshine Stars defeated Shooting Stars 1-0 in a South West derby clash at the Akure Sports Complex on Thursday.

The Owena Waves are scheduled to take on Gombe United at the same ground this weekend.

The game is expected to be postponed by the Nigeria Premier Football League to allow the injured players and officials recuperate.
