  • The recent Supreme Court ruling, overturning the Appeal Court’s decision that acquitted Kanu of terrorism charges in October 2022, has brought the court’s capacity into question according to IPOB’s stance

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has voiced concerns about the impartiality of Nigeria’s Supreme Court in light of the country’s ongoing challenges.

Emma Powerful, IPOB’s spokesperson, reacted to the Supreme Court’s decision to deny the release of Nnamdi Kanu, highlighting what they perceive as the court’s limitations.

The recent Supreme Court ruling, overturning the Appeal Court’s decision that acquitted Kanu of terrorism charges in October 2022, has brought the court’s capacity into question according to IPOB’s stance.

But in a terse statement, Powerful said: “The Supreme Court and its Justices have shown that they can not dispense good judgment in the face of Nigeria and its problems.

“The global world will ask them questions and why allow Nigeria to scatter so quickly.

”IPOB will watch what is happening in Nigeria this period.”
