JUST-IN: Full List Emerges As Airforce Promotes 37 Senior Officers

• Those promoted to the rank of Air Commodore include Valentine Oraeki, Dogari Apyeyak, Ali Idris, Mohammed Ahmed, Shehu Chindo, Abubakar Mohammed and Logomfa Nansoh.

The elevation of 37 senior officers to the next higher rank in the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has been accepted by the Air Force Council (AFC).

WITHIN NIGERIA gathered this was contained in a statement on Friday by Group Captain Kabiru Ali, the deputy director of Public Relations & Information, which included this information.

Out of the 37 senior officers who received promotions, 15 were made Air Commodores and 22 were promoted to Air Vice Marshals.

The Director of Public Relations and Information, Headquarters NAF (HQ NAF), Edward Gabkwet, Abubakar Sule, Olayinka Oyesola, Abubakar Bukar, Razaq Olanrewaju, Olanrewaju Oyename, Ahmed Idris, Abdulrasheed Kotun, and Chidiebere Obiabaka are among those promoted to the rank of Air Vice Marshal.

Additional individuals include David Dickson, Mohammed Ibrahim, Babatunde Ajayi, Gambo Mbaka, Felix Uwakara, John Ukeh, Emeka Ashiegbu, Friday Ogohi, Henry Yurkusi, and Suleiman Usman.

The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, has since congratulated the newly promoted senior officers.

He reminded them of the need for deep thinking and critical evaluation of current security environment with a view to proffering actionable strategies towards overcoming the problems it portends for the country.

“To whom much is given, much is also expected. You much therefore justify this recognition by always going the extra mile in safeguarding the lives and properties of all Nigerians,” he said.
