In response to the elimination of fuel subsidies, Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda has approved a proactive move to assist civil officials and pensioners.
The state’s special N10,000 payment for government servants and N5,000 allowance for retirees have received Governor Radda’s approval.
The move is intended to mitigate the effects of the loss of subsidies, which have negatively impacted the nation’s economy.
This action was in continuation of his commitment to workers’ welfare and fulfilment of a pledge for the gradual rollout of palliative measures to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal,” a statement from the state government noted.
