The appointment was to fill up the existing vacancies necessitated by the retirement of two permanent secretaries recently.

According to a statement signed by the Head of Service, Mr. Kolawole Fagbohun, Prince Abiodun approved the appointment in order not to create any vacuum in the administrative structure of the state, particularly in the Ministries, Departments and Agencies of government and to ensure continuity and stability in governance at all levels.

The appointed permanent secretaries are Engr. Muritala Alabi Adekunle, Director Grade level 17 from the Ministry of Rural Development and Engr. Olufisan Ayodele Osiyale, Director, HAPPS 17 from the Local Government Service Commission.
