The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has cautioned candidates against attempting multiple registrations for the upcoming 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration exercise.

The registration for the 2024 UTME is scheduled to begin on January 15.

In its recent bulletin, JAMB, through a statement signed by Ville Pius, the director of its test administration department, explicitly stated its intention to disqualify and prosecute candidates found engaging in multiple registrations.

“Multiple registrations are not allowed in the 2024 UTME exercise, candidates, who register more than once would be identified, disqualified and prosecuted,” Pius said.

The director emphasized approaching the board for corrections rather than getting new application documents for any registration errors. Failure to do so may result in disqualification due to multiple registrations.

Candidates were advised by Pius to carefully read and comprehend the registration guidelines. After registration, they must sign an MoU committing to ethical standards.

Additionally, the director cautioned against sharing security details like registration numbers and passwords with others. No test center is permitted to ask for or accept candidates’ passwords.

JAMB announced a February 26 deadline for the 2024 UTME Registration, with the exams scheduled from April 19 to 29.
