The Emir of Ilorin, Ibrahim Kolapo Sulu Gambari, has expressed his confidence in the newly appointed Attorney General of the Federation, Prince Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), anticipating positive reforms within the justice sector under his leadership.

During Fagbemi’s courtesy visit to the palace on Tuesday, the emir, considering Fagbemi as the pride of Kwara, commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the judicious appointment. In a statement released by the AGF’s Special Assistant on Communication & Publicity, Kamarudeen Ogundele, the emir, having known Fagbemi for over 30 years since his days on the bench, expressed confidence in his ability to uphold justice and lead the fight against corruption.

Describing Fagbemi as both a philanthropist and a legal icon who significantly contributed to legal jurisprudence, the emir extended his prayers for the AGF to have a successful and impactful tenure in office.

The Emir of Ilorin’s endorsement adds weight to the belief that Fagbemi’s appointment is a positive step towards legal reforms and the pursuit of justice under the administration of President Tinubu.
