Prof. Abdullahi El-Okene, the Chairman of the International Organisation of Tijaniyyah Brotherhood (IOTB), emphasizes the need for divine intervention to address Nigeria’s numerous challenges. On Tuesday at the 13th National Conference of IOTB and the Tijaniyyah Muslim Students’ Association of Nigeria in Abuja, El-Okene urged Nigerians, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to seek economic solutions in the Holy Qur’an.

Encouraging the Muslim Ummah, especially leaders, to prioritize solutions rooted in divine principles, El-Okene cautioned against approaches that lack a foundation in the divine, regardless of their apparent impressiveness. He specifically called on Muslim scholars, especially Tijaniyyah adherents, to actively engage in guiding mankind towards what is divinely good and discouraging them from evil.

In addition to the conference discussions, the event featured a medical outreach program at the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) homes in Durumi, Abuja, and an empowerment training session for participants. The call for divine solutions reflects a belief in the transformative power of spiritual guidance to address the challenges confronting Nigeria.
