  • The report suggests that former Chelsea stars Didier Drogba and John Obi Mikel have been actively engaging with Osimhen, attempting to sway him towards joining the Blues

According to TEAMtalk, Napoli’s striker, Victor Osimhen, is reportedly set to sign a pre-contract agreement with Chelsea. Osimhen, at 25 years old and with a release clause of approximately £112m, seems determined to depart from the Serie A champions this summer.

However, the move won’t occur immediately, as Osimhen is not expected to make the switch this month. Instead, the plan is for him to commit to a pre-agreement in January, paving the way for a move to Chelsea at the end of the season.

The report suggests that former Chelsea stars Didier Drogba and John Obi Mikel have been actively engaging with Osimhen, attempting to sway him towards joining the Blues. Chelsea has been actively seeking a top-quality center-forward throughout this season, with Osimhen being their primary target.

Osimhen recently inked a new contract with Napoli, which included a substantial release clause of around £112m. Napoli is likely to demand this fee if they sanction a deal this month.
