  • Destruction began around 4am this morning 
  • An X user says effots to reach the FCT Emergency service proved abortive.

Millions of naira worth of property was damaged in the early hours of the morning by fire at the well-known shopping centre IC World Emporia Centre in Gwarimpa Estate, Abuja.

The fire began on Wednesday morning at around four in the morning, according to witnesses.

X user Mister Mash claims that attempts to get in touch with the FCT Emergency service were unsuccessful.

He wrote: “4:13am currently happening right now in Gwarimpa, IC World Emporia on fire.
