  • This move is part of a broader revalidation exercise to enhance the enrolment process, address outstanding debts owed to third-party agents, and ensure data integrity in the country’s identity database

The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has temporarily suspended Front-End Partners (FEPs) from participating in National Identification Number (NIN) enrolments. Abisoye Coker-Odusote, NIMC’s Director-General, announced this during a four-day training session for revalidated FEPs in Abuja.

This move is part of a broader revalidation exercise to enhance the enrolment process, address outstanding debts owed to third-party agents, and ensure data integrity in the country’s identity database.

The suspension is not aimed at any specific group but is a strategic step toward conducting a thorough audit of FEP claims and ensuring compliance with high data security standards.

She noted: “Don’t forget that I inherited huge debts owed FEPs for over two years. Some of the invoices and claims were questionable, requiring proper auditing. The rot in the process and system left me with no option but to take deliberate steps toward sanitising the enrolment process.
