  • Recall that Akeredolu died on December 27, 2023, at a German hospital following a protracted illness.
  • Burial arrangement by his family said Akeredolu’s funeral rites would begin from February 15 to February. 25 in Ibadan, Akure and Owo.

The State Executive Council has been disbanded effective immediately by Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the governor of Ondo State.

All Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and Special Assistants (SAs) were also fired by Aiyedatiwa.

Following the passing of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, the governor assumed control of the state.

Remember that on December 27, 2023, Akeredolu passed away in a German hospital after a lengthy illness.
