Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd), the Chairman/Chief Executive of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), has urged the men and officers of the agency to resist any form of enticement that goes against the principles of their profession as anti-narcotic operatives.

During the graduation ceremony of members of the Strike Force elite corps in the agency in Jos, Plateau State, Marwa emphasized the importance of maintaining incorruptibility in the face of temptations that may arise from drug traffickers and barons.

In his address, Marwa, represented by the Director, Special Duties/Commander, Strike Force, Deputy Commander General of Narcotics, DCGN Ahmed Ningi, appealed to the officers to avoid compromising their discipline and dedication to duty. He highlighted their significant responsibility as anti-narcotic officers, underscoring the need to stay resolute against any compromising situations.

Addressing the graduating officers, Marwa acknowledged the specialized training and skills they had acquired, emphasizing that these capabilities would enhance their competence in the special role they would play in the agency’s fight against illicit drugs.

He stated, “As the agency intensifies its operations against illicit drug trafficking, your service will become increasingly essential to successfully attaining our organizational goals. Marwa’s message underscored the agency’s commitment to maintaining high standards of integrity and professionalism in the ongoing battle against drug-related offenses.
