Gov Bala Mohammed Approves Promotion Of 53 Senior Civil Service Officers

The Governor also approved the promotion of 38 other Officers while one Officer had his transfer formalized in accordance with civil service rules and procedural regulations.

  • The decisions were taken on Tuesday during the 5th plenary seesion of the Bauchi State Civil Service Commission (CSC) held at the Conference Room of the Commission which considered 83 cases of promotions, conversions and transfer of service.
  • Others considered were two conversions while 27 Deputy Directors were interviewed and recommended for appointment as Directors in the State Civil Service.

Sen. Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir, the governor of Bauchi State, has authorised the confirmation of fifteen Senior Officers in their various capacities within the State Civil Service in order to ensure effective and efficient service delivery.

In line with civil service and procedural laws, one officer had his transfer formalised, while the governor also approved the promotions of 38 other officers.

The 5th plenary session of the Bauchi State Civil Service Commission (CSC), which was conducted at the Commission’s conference room on Tuesday, examined 83 cases involving promotions, conversions, and transfers of service. Decisions were made in these cases.

Two conversions were also taken into consideration, and 27 Deputy Directors were interviewed and recommended for appointment as State Civil Service directors.

The State office of the Head of Civil Service filed recommendations to the Commission in accordance with Civil Service norms and regulations, which led to all of the activities that took place during the plenary session.

Alh. Abubakar Usman, the Chairman of the Commission, who chaired the meeting, expressed his appreciation for the candidates’ well-behaved conduct throughout the exchange in his remarks.

He restated the Commission’s resolve and commitment to reviving and committing the State Civil Service to efficient service delivery.

Alh. Abubakar Usman said that rather than conducting witch hunts, the Commission started interviewing candidates for Deputy Directors and up in order to better equip them for the difficult work that lies ahead of them for the advancement and development of the State.

According to a statement from Saleh Umar, I.O. BSCSC, the Permanent Secretary, Barr. Dawud Yakubu Mahmood, led the Secretarial Staff during the meeting, while the Permanent Commissioner II, Dr. Dauda Abdullahi Sardaunan Ari, led the Commission Members.
