In a bid to alleviate the suffering of the populace, the federal government announces targeted interventions.

Zaphaniah Jisalo, Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, affirmed this commitment during the official commissioning and delivery of crucial medical equipment to selected healthcare facilities across Nigeria.

Organized by the National Lottery Trust Fund (NLTF) in Abuja on Thursday, the program signals the government’s dedication to improving healthcare accessibility.

Jisalo emphasized, “Further interventions are forthcoming to mitigate Nigerians’ challenges. This initiative is just the inception; we will persist with it. The upcoming budget will encompass comprehensive provisions.”

He continued, “This aligns with one of Tinubu’s core agendas: instilling renewed hope. We aim to imbue Nigerians with optimism by supplying essential healthcare materials to primary, secondary, ward, and local government health centers.”

“Health is paramount. Without it, societal well-being falters. Hence, we are making a concerted effort in this regard. It remains a pivotal agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and we are steadfast in its implementation. We urge beneficiaries to maintain this equipment to facilitate further distribution to other communities.”

Assuring citizens, Jisalo added, “We pledge additional efforts this year as revenue generation gains momentum. We are poised for increased revenue influx.”

Bello Maigari, Executive Secretary/CEO of NLTF, highlighted plans to extend coverage to all 36 states, aiming for enhanced healthcare access.

Maigari remarked, “These initiatives stem from proceeds generated from the lottery and gaming sector. We anticipate continued benefits for Nigerians through investments in top-tier medical facilities.”

“This milestone event is one of many in our recent health intervention efforts. Our objective is to span the entirety of the nation, fostering improved healthcare access and upholding superior standards of care, particularly for rural populations.”

Reportedly, the medical equipment distributed includes a medical waste incinerator, blood bank refrigerator, ultrasound machine, dialysis machine, ambulance vehicle, electric ICU bed, wheelchairs, and an autoclave.
