“Our team demonstrated remarkable resilience and determination, echoing fans’ sentiments nationwide,” remarked Musa. “Your unwavering support lifted us to new heights.”

Musa urged Nigerians to extend this spirit of unity beyond the football pitch, especially during challenging economic times.

“In the face of economic challenges, let’s carry this unity into every aspect of our lives,” urged the Super Eagles captain. “Together, we are stronger. Let’s tackle the obstacles ahead with the same camaraderie we experienced during the tournament.”

Highlighting football’s unifying power, Musa emphasized the need for Nigerians to embrace their diversity and stand together as one nation.

“Let’s celebrate our diversity as a source of strength and remain united as one nation, team, and family,” stated Musa.

Expressing gratitude to the fans for their unwavering support, Musa concluded, “Thank you, Nigeria, for your steadfast dedication. Let’s continue to strive for excellence, both on and off the field.”

Sebastien Haller of Côte d’Ivoire scored a dramatic late winner as hosts Ivory Coast fought back to beat Nigeria 2-1 in the AFCON final on Sunday, securing their third continental title in a remarkable tournament turnaround.
