The Federal Government (FG) has reiterated its commitment to fulfilling its obligations regarding the N35,000 wage award, assuring workers that payments will resume promptly.

Following a meeting with the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC), Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, urged the labour centres to reconsider their strike notice issued over alleged non-implementation of agreements reached last year.

Addressing the gathering, Onyejeocha emphasized the government’s dedication to completing the implementation of the agreements, acknowledging the urgency of the matter and the importance of dialogue in resolving issues.
