  • CAN President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, urges government officials to address economic hardships and promote prosperity across Nigeria
  • Okoh emphasizes the need for immediate attention to economic challenges and calls for collective efforts to assist those in need

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) is calling on government officials at all levels to take decisive action to alleviate the economic hardships faced by Nigerians and foster prosperity across the nation.

In a statement issued by CAN President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, as part of his message marking Ash Wednesday and the beginning of the Lenten season, he emphasized the significance of self-reflection, repentance, and spiritual growth during this period. Okoh urged believers to embody the teachings of Jesus Christ by demonstrating love and compassion towards others.

Expressing concern for those grappling with financial instability and limited access to basic necessities, Okoh emphasized the need for immediate attention to the economic challenges facing the nation. He urged leaders to acknowledge the severity of the situation and implement tangible measures to support individuals enduring economic hardships.

Okoh called for collective efforts to extend assistance to those in need and advocated for sustained support from government leaders to alleviate the burdens faced by fellow citizens. He emphasized the importance of fostering an inclusive and empathetic society where the voices of the marginalized are heard and their needs addressed.
