Vice President Kashim Shettima is scheduled to launch the Outsource To Nigeria Initiative (OTNI) and inaugurate the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Centre in Gombe tomorrow.
The BPO Centre, the first of its kind in the Northeast region and the largest in Nigeria is poised to generate over 2,000 employment opportunities for the talented youth population in the state.
In a statement issued by Ismaila Uba Misilli, Director of Press Affairs to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yaya, it was emphasized that the establishment of the BPO Centre positions Gombe State as a potential hub for outsourcing services, harnessing the skills and potential of its youth.
“OTNI serves as a catalyst for transformation in the business process and technology-enabled outsourcing sector, offering a rapid path to job security for the vast youth population in Gombe State and across Nigeria,” Misilli stated.
He further highlighted the Governor Yahaya-led administration’s unwavering commitment to fostering sustainable employment opportunities and empowering youths to contribute significantly to the state’s development and advancement.
Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya expressed gratitude to Vice President Shettima for his unwavering support and dedication to the economic prosperity of the state and the nation at large. He eagerly anticipates welcoming the Vice President and other dignitaries to the event.
The statement also mentioned the expected attendance of key stakeholders from both public and private sectors, both domestically and internationally, underscoring the significance of the initiative’s launch.
