The 2024 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination is scheduled for Thursday, March 7, 2024, according to the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board.

The Board further stated that, if they so choose, all applicants taking the 2024 mock-UTME would be permitted to enter the test hall equipped with a standard HP pencil for numerical analysis.

In a statement released on Wednesday, JAMB spokesperson Dr. Fabian Benjamin stated that the clarification was required in response to numerous questions from candidates and the general public on whether or not HB pencils could be used as writing instruments in the exam room.

He said: “It should be noted that the Board had hitherto prohibited the use of pencils and other banned materials in view of the nefarious ends that these materials are put.”
