Jadon Sancho is reportedly set on securing a permanent departure from Manchester United in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Following a strained relationship with Red Devils head coach Erik ten Hag, Sancho departed Old Trafford in January, returning to Borussia Dortmund on loan for the remainder of the 2023-24 season.
In his second stint with BVB, the 23-year-old has featured in nine matches, registering one goal and two assists. In his recent outing, his solitary goal came against Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga.
While there have been suggestions that new minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe is keen on retaining the England international at Old Trafford, Sancho has no intention of resuming his career with Manchester United.
According to Bild, the former Manchester City youth product relentlessly seeks a permanent move elsewhere this summer. Despite uncertainties surrounding the manager’s future at the club, Sancho is reportedly unwilling to work under Ten Hag again.
With Ratcliffe and his INEOS team closely monitoring developments at Old Trafford, there is potential for managerial changes. Sancho’s decision to pursue a permanent transfer coincides with his challenging stint at Manchester United, where he has struggled to replicate his previous form. Since joining Dortmund in 2021, Sancho has amassed 12 goals and six assists in 82 appearances for the Red Devils.
