A fresh attack in Benue state by rampaging armed herders has reportedly left many dead

Several locals were also injured in the onslaught on Ugbobi community in Apa LGA of the State.

It’s gathered that residents have fled their homes, leaving the attackers to burn their houses and loot food items.

A native of the community, Eric Amodu, confirmed the attack, saying the assailants had a field day carrying out the attacks as security operatives were conveniently absent.

He lamented that the attack has been on for more than two hours now without any security operatives coming to challenge them.

He said, “It’s been 2 hours since this morning attack began and still no security forces has made any effort. Obvious conspiracy.”
