Russian President Vladimir Putin has pledged to bring to justice all those responsible for the deadly attack at Crocus City Hall in northern Krasnogorsk, Moscow, where over 100 people were killed on Friday evening.

Addressing the nation regarding the concert hall attack, which left approximately 140 people critically injured, Putin attributed the assault to perpetrators captured while attempting to cross the border into Ukraine.

“I am addressing you in connection with the bloody, barbaric terrorist act, which claimed the lives of dozens of peaceful, innocent people – including children, teenagers, and women,” Putin stated.

Commending the efforts of medical personnel, special forces, and citizens in responding to the tragedy, Putin declared March 24 a national day of mourning.
