Google has disclosed that it has taken action against many adverts and accounts for policy violations, blocking over 5.5 billion adverts and suspending 12.7 million accounts.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the tech giant highlighted its commitment to maintaining a safe and trustworthy digital advertising ecosystem. It emphasized the importance of providing relevant and reliable information to billions of users worldwide, underscoring the continuous efforts of thousands of employees dedicated to safeguarding this ecosystem.

The statement further revealed that Google had removed adverts from over 2.1 billion pages as part of its ongoing efforts to combat scams and fraudulent activities across online platforms. It acknowledged the challenges posed by bad actors who continuously evolve their tactics to exploit digital advertising for malicious purposes.

To address these threats effectively, Google has implemented swift policy updates, deployed rapid-response enforcement teams, and enhanced its detection techniques to promptly identify and mitigate fraudulent activities.
